What can my Child wear for their first Class?
If they don't already own the uniform your child must wear simple, comfortable clothing for moving around in for only their Free first class. After the Free class a uniform should be purchased through any of the links provided on the uniform page, otherwise they won't be able to participate in class.
I'd like to Enroll but my Child hasn't danced before?
You can still enrol your child for classes when they haven't danced before after their first class extra care and attention will be paid to ensure that they grasp the basics to ensure development and that injuries are avoided.
From what age are Children allowed to Join the Academy?
Children can join from the age of 2 years!
Can I Enroll my Child mid way through a Term?
Yes they can join mid way through a term, the fees for that term will be adjusted accordingly.
Do you offer Private Tuition?
Yes we can offer Private Tuition, please get in touch for more information.
Should a new Student just turn up?
No, if you haven't enrolled you can't turn up and be a part of a class. Due to availability and fees, Covid-19 etc. all Students must be enrolled through the website or by calling.
How are Fees charged, can I pay on a weekly basis?
Fees are only payable on a termly basis, Students are able to take a Free first class before committing to term fees.
Do you follow School Terms?

Will my Child be dancing en Pointe?
Being allowed to dance en pointe is every child's & parents dream to look like a ballerina you may have seen on stage. However, before your child is allowed to purchase their very first pair of pointe shoes they must meet very strict requirements before going onto pointe, if these requirements are not met then they will not be allowed en pointe as injuries can occur and this is something that the Carrington Ballet Academy will avoid at all costs. If you feel you are ready for pointe please speak with the Principal but there is no guarantee.

Does a Dance Teacher need to be qualified?
Yes. Surprisingly anyone can open a dance school and not be qualified but to ensure the best training and ensure that your child does not receive multiple injuries the Teacher must be qualified.
Our Principal Kerryanne currently holds a BA Hons Degree in Ballet & Dance and is a registered Teacher with TDSC.
How long does a Child stay in a Class before moving up?
A child will move up depending on their ability, and depending on if they have taken the relevant exams to be able to move up. The age ranges given on the website and booking system are just Guidelines, progression is subject to the Teachers discretion
May I watch Lessons?
Yes, there will be a watching week which will most likely be the last class of term where you can come and see what your child has been learning.
How do I know my Child's place at the Academy is secured?
Your child's place at the Academy will be secured once you book via our "Class4Kids" booking system.
