Kerryanne Warne | BA HONS TDSC
Kerryanne is the Principal of The Carrington Ballet Academy, the Academy was started with the aspiration of Teaching Ballet and Dance to Students with a main focus of positivity and ensuring that every Student gets the same opportunity throughout their training within a safe environment.
Training & Career
Kerryanne began her Ballet Training at the early age of 3 on the Isle of Wight at a local Dance School, where she appeared in Shows and performed in Competitions.
Whilst at her local Dance School she trained in The Royal Academy of Dance Graded Syllabus (RAD), she also went to Summer Intensives with the RAD during 2004 to 2006. She also went through training for ISTD & BDTA examinations.
During the year of 2004 Kerryanne trained in Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre with Derek Hartley & Theatre Train where she performed in two West End London shows. In 2008 she was lucky enough to be selected to Compete in the Fonteyn Nureyev Competition. She also has been lucky enough to work with the Dance world's most prestigious Teachers including Wayne Sleep, Justine Berry and Rachel Hunt. She has also trained with a leading Ballet School in Cyprus, Limassol where she had private tuition from Lambros Lambrou, Former Artistic Director of Austin Ballet & Former Artistic Director of Limassol Municipal Dance Centre.
In 2009 she went on to Train with Central School of Ballet where she gained extensive knowledge and experience in Ballet to then go on to do her HNC, HND and finally BA HONS Degree.
During Kerryanne's BA HONS Degree training she was awarded Distinction in the RAD Advanced 2 Graded syllabus meaning that she could go on and compete and perform in the most prestigious Ballet Competition in the World.
The Genee International Ballet Competition 2013 - now named, "The Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition"
In this Competition she was one of only 60 successful dancers to be able to compete in this competition where she trained with Lynn Wallis (Artistic Director, RAD), Hilary Clark (Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary) and Robert Binet (Royal Ballet Choreographic Apprentice).
Kerryanne had the opportunity during the World's most prestigious Ballet Competition (Genee) to perform a well known Ballet Solo Variation, and a Dancers Own Choreographed piece.
Kerryanne then went on to Graduate with a BA Hons Degree in Ballet & Dance and Perform in many Ballet Company Performances, including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Romeo & Juliet. Many of these shows were Toured in Theatre's around Scotland she also had the pleasure of Touring with a Ballet Company with their production of Romeo & Juliet on their highly awaited China Tour where she travelled with the Company to China and toured around different cities for 7 weeks. She also had the pleasure of performing with English National Ballet for a short time.
Now her main focus is to provide Ballet & Dance classes where the Students can learn, have fun and most importantly feel safe and enjoy a positive learning experience. She is currently a Registered Teacher with TDSC and provides Graded Examinations. PVG Registered.
